Bayshore’s House of Blues – aka Memphis, is a blue merle australian shepherd dog.  Memphis is from AKC CH Bayshore’s Bumble Bee’s first litter of Aussie puppies

It is no surprise to anyone that knows the story of the whelping of Bummy’s litter that Memphis is staying here.  He is what I call my miracle puppy – he was the last puppy to be born and behind the puppy who was stuck and lost as a result.  My vet said that it was a miracle he was still alive, that he simply willed himself to live because based on all signs he should have died.

I held him in my arms as he woke up from anesthesia and he took a piece of my soul.  He is a male version of his mother Bummy down to the majority of his markings. Of course he had to add blue eyes to the package just to make my heart melt a bit more!

While people always comment on his movie star good looks but he is more than a handsome pelt and blue eyes.  He is an incredible mover and very correct – we have high hopes for him as he matures.  Aussies are like a fine wine, they just get better with time!

Memphis has completed the AKC STAR puppy program and has started some preliminary agility training.  He is a definite natural and is already in the top of the class and our instructor is as pleased as I am.  There are no plans to show him in agility until he is older, but learning the different obstacles is a great thing for when he is full grown!  He is also working sheep now and will be competing at herding trials  when his schedule permits.

Memphis earned two points in his 2013 in ring debut, thank you Judge Jim Frederickson for this nice win!  Memphis has three points in limited showing, look for him and Jamie Clute in the ring this fall!

Also, Memphis is a natural bob tail – meaning he was born with no tail. Most of the litter was born without a full tail.
