On paper, Reuland has a pedigree that simply is divine and then you see him in persona and realize he is the real deal. His sire, Dickie was an AKC Champion as well as a full brother to the immortal Fib, CH Threepines B'Gosh of Bayshore who was a top show dog and a phenomenal producer. You can find Fib in many pedigrees of established breeders and people still talk about her. Fib is a ROM III producer with Progeny including CH Bayshore Sit'N on a Goldmine, CH Bayshore Sunday Brunch CH Bayshore's Dance Fever, CH Bayshore's Dance With Me, Bayshore's Victory Dance, Bayshore's Orion The Hunter etc. His other sibling Bayshore's Better Be is also a great produce in her own right. Dickie had limited litters as his owner had moved into showing and breeding other breeds. Reuland was produced via frozen semen after Dickie's owner searched for the perfect girl to cross with him.
The search was over when Reuland's dam CH Legacy's One Day at a Time was found. Snow has produced multiple champions from the three litters she produced and includ GCH Double R's Alberta Clipper, CH Double R's Bring on the Bling and GCH Double R's Rumspringa. Snow is also full Sister to GCHG Legacy's Power Play, one of the top current sires in the breed. Her pedigree also has some nice older lines that just compliment and produce so well.
Reuland in person is wonderful too, he has so many lovely qualities, he is a sound mover with a lovely topline and effortless sidegait. His temperament is top notch as well. He is a pleaser. Reuland is still a young dog so he will be shown sparingly for his Grand Championship in 2017.
* Note Reuland was a product of frozen semen and while AKC DNA was done, ASCA was not prior to his sire's death. ASCA does not allow this hardship (nor accept AKC results) for registration unfortunately. We are in the process of having his dam DNA'd in the event that we can harvest DNA from the one remaining vial of frozen semen for his sire. As we plan to hopefully use that frozen semen, until that time all progeny will be required to use the Foreign Registry option for ASCA.
