Sex:  Female
Show/Pet:  Currently Showing

Notes:

Congratulations to Mark and Michelle Steigmeyer on becoming the pet humans to Sugar!

This little girl came out flying!  I did not even know Bummy was in full blown labor as she was sitting then this little one came scooting out.  She was 14 ounces at birth and was up and at it immediately.

Black as black coat with beautiful markings and always eating!  I am calling her Queen Bee since she was born first.  She is fearless and feisty already she gets what she wants at 1 day old.  But she is the Queen :-) .

Week 1 Update – Queenie continues to grow and is very active.  She is still very much interested in letting her opinion be known.  She is growing well and loves to sleep on her brothers or burrowed in Bummy’s fur.

Week 2 Update – It is funny – I named her Queenie because she was first born but she fits her name.  She definitely has a sparkle in her – she never makes a wrong move and is a commanding presence.  I have no doubt that if she ends up a show prospect she will be a winner.  She exudes confidence and is always my little over achiever – the first to try walking!

Week 3 Update – Always the over-achiever, Queenie was the first to get how to lap up the rice cereal/goats milk of all the puppies.  She is always a dominating personality in the box – I cannot wait to see her grow up, whatever she does she will be a star!

Week 4 Update – Queenie is now officially known as Sugar!  A good friend of mine has been on my puppy list and had her eye on her since birth.  They want to show so we were holding off on a final determination but it seems show or companion this little girl is going to the same place.  Nothing makes me happier than to know that she is loved for being herself!  Luckily for me her new human parents are going on vacation when she would be 8 weeks so I get to keep her a bit longer.  She is definitely a character.  They have big plans for her and she will surpass them I am sure!

Week 5 Update – Sugar is as sweet as her new name.  Always an over achiever – she figured out how to climb up onto the elevated dog bed and that Mommy’s bowl has FOOD in it.  I know her pet humans cannot wait to meet her and she gets prettier every day!

Week 6 Update – I always feel bad when adding information on Sugar because there is never anything different.  She is the classic over achiever who never makes a wrong move.  We are playing the tug game – something her Mommy never caught on to.  This will definitely help he later on in agility and she loves to play.  She gets prettier by the day!

5 Months Update – Sugar and Michelle went to their first ASCA show and came away with a Best in Show Puppy!  Their first AKC Show is scheduled for her 6 month birthday.  They also have entered the Canadian Australian National Specialty!
